Every Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame Member

The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum is physically located in St. Marys, Ontario, Canada. The museum commemorates great players, teams, and accomplishments of baseball in Canada.

The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame was founded in 1978, by Bruce Prentice, of Toronto, Ontario. The first induction ceremonies was held in 1983, at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto, prior to a game between the Yankees and the Blue Jays.

The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fameis dedicated to preserving Canada's baseball heritage which dates back to June 4, 1838, when a game closely resembling today's baseball was played in Beachville, Ontario. The Hall gained some major attention when Pete Rose became eligible for earning his 4,000th hit with the Montreal Expos. However Rose has yet to be elected to the Hall.

Since opening, over 100 members have been inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. It includes professional ballplayers, amateurs, builders and honorary members who have helped popularize the sport in Canada. Listed below in yearly induction order is the complete membership to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. Members are selected by a committee and they are placed in order by their year of induction on the chart below.

"Baseball is like a poker game. Nobody wants to quit when he's losing; nobody wants you to quit when you're ahead." - Canadian Hall of Famer (1991) Jackie Robinson in Giants of Baseball (Bill Gutman, Ace Books Publishing, 01/1975, Page 38)

The list of former Major League players born in Canada is quite amazing and we invite you to take a look at every Major League baseball player born in Canada . Here are the rules for the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame nominations, for both Canadian and non-Canadian born individuals:

1. A player must be retired for three years.
2. Must receive 75 percent of the vote to be inducted.
3. If the person is not Canadian he must have done something significant in baseball in Canada.
4. The person nominated will stay on the ballot for nine years as long as he receives a minimum of one vote every two years.
