"Selected by the Montreal Expos in the 26th round of the 1991 First-Year Player Draft , (Bob) Henley appeared in 41 games for the Expos in 1998, hitting .304 with three home runs and 18 RBI. He made his Major League Baseball debut on July 19, 1998 in Montreal against the Pittsburgh Pirates and made the first start of his MLB career the next night, July 20 versus Philadelphia , and singled to center field off Curt Schilling in his first career at-bat. Taxed Pedro Astacio for his first career big league home run on August 12 at Coors Field. Once considered a significant Major League catching talent Henley, was unfortunately hit particularly hard by injuries (shoulder, elbow), which led to the end of his playing career ." - Washington Nationals Coaching Biography (05/24/2018, Bob Henley Playing Career , MLB.com)
