Trivia time: Besides being major league players, what do John Reilly , Bob Meusel , Babe Herman and Adrian Beltre have in common? They are the only players in baseball history to hit for the cycle three times . Beltre holds one unique distinction from the rest of the quartet, he completed all three cycles in the same ballpark! You can look it up: Cycle #1 , Cycle #2 , Cycle #3 . [ Cycle Records ]

Did you know that Adrian Beltre was the first third baseman to ever win a Fielding Bible Award (2006), the first to win two (2008), three (2011), and four (2012)? Did you know that when Wilson Sporting Goods began issuing a Defensive Player of The Year Award , Beltre was the first third baseman to win it as well? Rawlings has a long history (since 1957) of awarding a Gold Glove to the best defensive player at each position, Beltre has won four Gold Gloves at Third Base already, but in 2011 Rawlings began giving a Platinum Glove for the best defensive player in the entire league - Beltre won in the American League that year, and the year after that!

In 2004 , Adrian Beltre crushed a Major League leading 48 home runs, tied for most in National League history by a third baseman, set originally by Mike Schmidt in 1980 .
