Gregory Scott Booker was a Major League Baseball player who pitched for the San Diego Padres (1983-1989), Minnesota Twins ( 1989 ) and San Francisco Giants ( 1990 ). Greg, his nickname, coached for the Friars from 1997 through 2003, after hanging up his playing cleats, then scouted for the Los Angeles Dodgers until he died of melanoma on March 30, 2019.
