Ian Happ, on May 7, 2018, hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning (batting lefty) and a three-run shot in the seventh frame (batting righty). This was the seventh instance in Chicago Cubs history where a player switch-homered from both sides of the plate in the same game , the first for Happer. In the post game press conference, Ian was pleased with his performance until hitting coach Chili Davis mentioned he switch-homered eleven times in his career, prompting Happ to quip, "I've got a little bit of a ways to go."
