Hit By A Pitch Records

Did you know that Reed Johnson holds the Major League record for most games in a career with three hit by pitch? Reed set the mark on April 29, 2006 , after being plunked for the third time in the same game, the third time in his career ( April 7, 2006 and April 16, 2005 were the other two instances).
Frank Chance played in a double header on May 30, 1904, and became the only player to ever get hit by a pitch five times during a double header.
The Hall of Fame shared this about Hughie Jennings , the all-time hit by pitch leader , "The shortstop was hit by a pitch an astounding 287 times in his career. In one game in particular, he was hit in the head by a pitch in the third inning and remarkably, he continued to play the rest of the game. But, as soon as it finished, he collapsed and remained unconscious for the three days that followed."
