The University of Evansville baseball program started in 1977, Andy Benes was the first former Purple Ace to make it to the Major League level.
A few other notable alumni who attended the University of Evansville include Matt Williams (Writer for The Cosby Show, Home Improvement, etc), Rami Malek (Actor in Mr. Robot), and Jack McBrayer (Actor in 30 Rock).
