Mookie, his nickname, was the first player in baseball history to win the Most Valuable Player Award , a Silver Slugger , a Gold Glove , the batting title , and a World Series ring ( 2018 ) in the same season!

When Mookie Betts hit three home runs in a game on May 31, 2016 , then two additional home runs in his next consecutive game, on June 1, 2016 , he became only the third Boston Red Sox player to hit five home runs in two consecutive games , tying the mark set by Carl Yastrzemski in 1976, who was tied by Nomar Garciaparra in 2002.
