Ryan Braun Stats

Ryan Braun was born on Thursday, November 17, 1983, in Mission Hills, California. Braun was 24 years old when he broke into the big leagues on May 25, 2007, with the Milwaukee Brewers. His biographical data, year-by-year hitting stats, fielding stats, pitching stats (where applicable), career totals, uniform numbers, salary data and miscellaneous items-of-interest are presented by Baseball Almanac on this comprehensive Ryan Braun baseball stats page.

"He (Ryan Braun) has a rare gift: a sweet swing from the right side of the plate. Smooth. According to Braun, 'it's natural.' Watching him take batting practice is like watching Tiger Woods hitting on the range. Nice and easy, but powerful. 'When my swing's going well, it is pretty effortless,' Braun said. 'To me, less is more. The less effort that I put in, the easier everything seems to happen.'" - Sportswriter Kory Kozak on ESPN.com ('Confident' Braun driven to succeed, 08/10/2009, Source )

Ryan Braun is the only player in Milwaukee Brewers history to join the 30 / 30 Club ( 30 Home Runs and 30 Stolen Bases ) more than once (2011 & 2012), and one-of-three National League players to post back-to-back 30-30 seasons, joining Willie Mays (1956 & 1957), Ron Gant (1990 & 1991), Barry Bonds (1995 & 1996 / 1996 & 1997) and Vladimir Guerrero (2001 & 2002).

Did you know that Ryan Braun, who led all National League (NL) rookies with 11 home runs and 25 RBI in July 2007, was voted NL Rookie of the Month and NL Player of the Month , the first player in Major League history to capture both awards during the same month?

Did you know that Ryan Braun received the second most All-Star Game votes (3,835,840) in 2008 , amongst National League players, behind only Chase Utley (3,889,602), and once The Hebrew Hammer stepped onto the field in Yankee Stadium , he became the first Milwaukee Brewers outfielder voted to start an All-Star Game ?

On April 8, 2004 , Petco Park hosted their first regular season game and saw the hometown San Diego Padres defeat the San Francisco Giants 4-3 in ten innings. Countless famous firsts took place in that game. Why did we mention that on Ryan Braun's online baseball card? Because The Hebrew Hammer made Petco Park history on April 30, 2012 , going deep three times in the same game, the first 3-homer game of his career, and the first in Petco Park!
