Did you know that Joey Gallo played Little League Baseball with Bryce Harper (see image below)? Did you know that Gallo hit a home run on June 2, 2015, in the bottom of the third inning, off Jeff Samardzija - his first career home run in his first big league game?

On April 3, 2018 , Joey Gallo hit his fiftieth career home run, the eleventh fastest player to reach the plateau, prompting Texas Rangers Manager (2015-2018) Jeff Banister to say after the game, "This is a special talent. This guy has the ability to hit the ball out of the ballpark in all directions. Last year when he made the strides to take some pitches, take his walks, really has helped him continue to grow to be a more complete hitter."

The milestone home run came in Joey Gallo's 204th career game, moving him into the 11th position, one ahead of hall of famer Frank Robinson , who reached the same milestone in his 213th career game.

Joey Gallo hit forty-one home runs in 2017 , his batting average was .209 - only the second time in baseball history where a batter hit forty-or-more home runs and had a batting average below .215. Do you know who did it before Pico de Gallo? [ Answer ] When Gallo duplicated this feat in 2018 (40 HRS | .206 AVG), he became the first player in baseball history with two of these statistically unique seasons.
