"When I first got out there and stepped on the mound, the plate looked like it was 100 feet away. Everything just looked so big. Once the batter stepped in the box, I was locked into the glove the whole time." - Adrian Houser (Adam McCalvy, 09/27/2015, 'Reed, Houser have memorable debuts in loss', Source )

On July 1, 2019, Adrian Houser was the starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers , in a game versus the Cincinnati Reds , in Great American Ball Park. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Houser threw exactly one pitch to Jose Iglesias , a popfly that was cleanly fielded. He then threw exactly one pitch to Curt Casali , a flyball to right field, also cleanly fielded. Finally, he threw exactly one pitch to Tyler Mahle , the opposing pitcher, who hit a groundout to the shortstop, who threw to first for the final out. A rare three-pitch inning for Houser!
