The 2019 Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be the 90th Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The game will be hosted by the Cleveland Indians and played at Progressive Field on July 9, 2019.
The host city was announced on January 27, 2017, by Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred. It will be the sixth All-Star Game in Cleveland, and the first since 1997.
The Indians have now hosted the most All-Star Games in baseball history, breaking a four-way tie with the Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, and Cincinnati Reds, who have each hosted the Midsummer Classic five times.
"There's no better stage for D.C. to kind of show this new stadium we have, the area surrounding it and this awesome fan base that has grown with us than the All-Star Game . I can't think of a better city to showcase it than this one." - Washington Nationals First Draft Pick Ryan Zimmerman (26 Jul. 2017. Press Conference.
