The Tennessee Technological University baseball program started in 1915, Erik Sabel was the first former Golden Eagle to make it to the Major League level.
Tennessee Tech is in Cookeville, Tennessee. It was formerly known as Tennessee Polytechnic Institute (1915), and before that as University of Dixie, the name under which it was founded as a private institution in 1909.
