The Vanderbilt University baseball program started in 1886, Charlie Moran was the first former Commodore player to make it to the Major League level.

The Vanderbilt Commodores play baseball in Charles Hawkins Field in Nashville Tennessee and in their one-hundred five season history they have been in three NCAA Tournaments, accumalated a three-six (3-6) overall record and in 1980, won their first ever Conference Tournament Title.
