Did you know that these National League St. Louis Cardinals were once called the St. Louis Perfectos in 1899 ( click here for their managers ), and the St. Louis Browns from 1892 through 1898 ( click here for their managers )?

During the 2007 season, the St. Louis Cardinals , under the direction of Tony La Russa , finished in first place and set a new team attendance record when 3,552,180 hometown fans attended games at Busch Stadium .

Did you know that on April 8, 1996 , the St. Louis Cardinals had a team record 52,841 fans attend an Opening Day game ½ a game which they lost three-to-four in the tenth inning to the Montreal Expos ?
