Aaron Samuel Altherr is an active Major League baseball player for the Philadelphia Phillies . Aaron was drafted by the Phillies in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft , directly out of Agua Fria High School, after Philadelphia Phillies gave him a $150,000 Baseball Signing Bonus , so he would not attend the University of Arizona .

Clayton Kershaw - entering the game on September 18, 2017 - had faced more than seven thousand five hundred batters during his ten year hall-of-fame career, surrendering one-hundred twenty-five home runs, across his two-hundred eighty-seven starts, but one thing he hadn't done, was allow a grand slam (batters were hitting .193 during the one-hundred three instances where Clayton loaded the bases).

In the bottom of the sixth inning, down 2-0, Ty Kelly received a bases on balls, Freddy Galvis hit a single, Rhys Hoskins walked, loading the bases for A-A-Ron, who deposited a 1-1 pitching into the second deck at Citizens Bank Park, the second grand slam of Altherr's career (his first was just as impressive, an inside-the-park grand slam on September 25, 2015 ), the first surrendered by Clayton Kershaw .
