"Elvis represents everything we want the Texas Rangers to be about. He's a young player with extreme upside with a ton of enthusiasm and a ton of ability. He has been a big part of our playoff run the past two years. We feel his energy and enthusiasm represent the personality of our club. He has put a lot into his career so far and we feel his best years are ahead of him. We're excited to see how those years will unfold." - Assistant General Manager Thad Levine on MLB.com (T.R. Sullivan, 02/08/2012, 'Rangers, Andrus agree to three-year deal', Source )

Did you know that during his first Major League season, Elvis Andrus stole thirty-three bases, breaking the franchise record for most stolen bags in a season by a Texas Ranger during their first season? Do you know who had the mark before Andrus? [ Answer ]

On June 21, 2013 , Ian Kinsler said in a post game press conference, "Elvis [Andrus] will pass me while I'm playing. At least I'll have a glimpse of the record. I don't know if it's significant for me, but it shows a significant change in the organization from Juan Gonzalez and the type of clubs the Rangers used to have. We're more balanced now. Soon we'll have other players pass it." That record was most stolen bases in franchise history, and Kinsler had correctly predicted the future as Andrus tied, then broke the Rangers ' record on April 18, 2014 .

You can follow the team links in the chart above to locate common statistics (singles), advanced statistics (WHIP Ratio & Isolated Power), and unique statistics (plate appearances & times on bases) not found on any other website.
