Sandy Baez Stats

Sandy Baez was born on Thursday, November 25, 1993, in Juan Baron, Dominican Republic. Baez was 24 years old when he broke into the big leagues on June 4, 2018, with the Detroit Tigers. His biographical data, year-by-year hitting stats, fielding stats, pitching stats (where applicable), career totals, uniform numbers, salary data and miscellaneous items-of-interest are presented by Baseball Almanac on this comprehensive Sandy Baez baseball stats page.

"He (Sandy Baez) averaged 96 last night (Thursday) and a couple of times hit 98. He has heavy sink on his fastball, which usually runs 94 to 97. He's made great strides this year. Mark Johnson (Whitecaps pitching coach) taught him a new pitch, a variation on his change-up, so he's kind of got two change-ups now, with a slider. Mark's really worked with him on his timing, selling his pitches." - West Michigan Whitecaps Manager Andrew Graham in The Detroit News (Lynn Henning, 08/07/2016, , Source )
