Did you know that Brandon Barnes was the first Houston Astros player in franchise history to hit for the cycle against an American League team ? On July 19, 2013, in a 7-10 loss versus the Seattle Mariners , Barnes hit a solo homer in the second inning and had a run-scoring triple in the fourth. He singled in the sixth inning and completed the cycle with a sharp ground ball double down the right-field line in the eighth inning. After the game Barnes commented on MLB.com , "It's the top moment [of my career so far]. I was just thankful to do it in front of my wife. That was an awesome moment."
