Kyle Barraclough was drafted originally by the Minnesota Twins in the 40th round (1,228 overall) of the 2011 Baseball Draft . He chose to stay at St. Mary's where he:

Named to the Pre-season All-Conference Team as voted on by the West Coast Conference coaches...finished the year 2-9 with a 3.95 ERA...posted his second-straight season with a sub 4.00 ERA and over 80 innings pitched...his 8.54 K/9 ranked 129th in the country while his 80 strike outs ranks 116th in the nation...talllied seven starts with at least six strike outs on the year...struck out a season-high nine batters against BYU on 2/24...won his 17th career game against Southern Utah on 2/18...earned his first collegiate save on 3/1 vs. Oregon State...threw a season-high 8.0 innings pitched in the win over Santa Clara on 4/28...surpassed Tom Candiotti (1975-79) for second all-time when he recorded his 281st career-strike out in the bottom of the third inning against Portland on May 12, 2012.
