Ervin Thomas Beck was a Major League Baseball player with the Brooklyn Superbas (1899), Cleveland Blues (1901), Cincinnati Reds (1902), and Detroit Tigers (1902). Erve hit six home runs in 1901 , the first year the Blues (who would become the modern Cleveland Indians ) ever played Major League Baseball, giving Dutch the first team-specific record for home runs in a season!
