Did you know that Carlos Correa was the first Puerto Rican taken first overall during a baseball draft ( 2012 )? Born and raised in Puerto Rico , Correa was the third Latino taken first overall joining Alex Rodriguez ( 1993 ) and Adrian Gonzalez ( 2000 ).

When The Captain batted third on October 6, 2015 , a wild-card game versus the New York Yankees , he became only the third player 21-or-younger to start in the three-hole during a postseason game. The other two just happened to be Bronx Bombers ; Joe DiMaggio ( 1936 World Series ) and Mickey Mantle ( 1952 World Series ).
