Did you know that Travis Fryman was named one of the 100 Greatest Cleveland Indians Players Top 100 Greatest Indians and Fryman was named one of the nine third basemen.

On September 20, 1996 , Travis Fryman collected his 1,000th career hit (a fifth-inning single off Ramon Garcia ) in Detroit -- the fifth youngest (27 years, 5 months, 26 days) Tiger to reach the plateau, behind Ty Cobb (23 years), Al Kaline (24 years), Alan Trammell (27 years, 2 months) and Harvey Kuenn (27 years, 5 months, 12 days).

On July 28, 1993 , Travis Fryman hit for the cycle in Tiger Stadium, a hitting feat not matched in Detroit (by a Tiger ) since Hoot Evers completed his cycle with the Tigers forty-three years earlier, on September 7, 1950 , in Briggs Stadium.

In 1988 , Brook Jacoby became the first Cleveland Indians third baseman to play 150-or-more games at third, with ten-or-fewer errors. In 2000 , Travis Fryman became the first - and through today the only - Cleveland Indians third baseman to play in 150-or-more games at the hot corner, and finish a season with less than ten errors. For his efforts, Fryman won a Gold Glove Award - the second by an Indian at third base. Trivia: Who was first? [ Answer ]
