Christopher Paul Gimenez was a Major League Baseball player for the Cleveland Indians (2009-2010, 2014, 2016), Seattle Mariners (2011), Tampa Bay Rays (2012-2013), Texas Rangers (2014-2015), Chicago Cubs (2018) and Minnesota Twins (2017-2018). Chris was drafted originally in 2001 , directly out of Gilroy High School, and did not sign, choosing to play at the University of Nevada, Reno , but when he did make it to the majors, he was the second major leaguer from Gilroy. Do you know who was first? [ Answer ]

Did you know that when Chris Gimenez made six pitching appearances in 2017 , with the Minnesota Twins , he actually tied a Major League record for most in a season by a full-time positional player, set previously by Eddie Lake ( 1944 )?

In 2018, Chris Gimenez hung up his playing cleats and went directly to the Los Angeles Dodgers coaching staff, taking on the role of Game Planning Coach!
