Dave Hansen hit thirty-five home runs against thirty-two different pitchers in fifteen different ballparks. Ten of Hansen's homers put his team out in front, six tied-up the game, and one was a walk off. IF there were famous home runs, those were the seven Dave hit in 2000, with the Los Angeles Dodgers , while pinch hitting - the first player in Major League history to record seven pinch-hit home runs during the same season . [ Pinch Hitting Records ]

Dave Hansen also owns two franchise records; most pinch-hits in a season (18 in 1993) by a Los Angeles Dodger , and a most pinch hits in a career (110) by a Los Angeles Dodger !

Alex Fernandez Baseball Card
Alex Fernandez | 1997 Topps Baseball Card (#531) | Baseball Almanac Collection
Why do we have an Alex Fernandez baseball card on Hansen's online baseball card? Because Dave Hansen hit a one-out weak dribbler to Florida Marlins second baseman Luis Castillo , in the bottom of the ninth inning inning, on April 10, 1997 , spoiling Alex Fernandez ' no-hitter.

On November 3, 2015, Dave Hansen replaced Don Baylor as the hitting coach for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim . [ Angels Manager & Coaches ]
