Joe Judge Stats

Joe Judge was born on Friday, May 25, 1894, in Brooklyn, New York. Judge was 21 years old when he broke into the big leagues on September 20, 1915, with the Washington Senators. His biographical data, year-by-year hitting stats, fielding stats, pitching stats (where applicable), career totals, uniform numbers, salary data and miscellaneous items-of-interest are presented by Baseball Almanac on this comprehensive Joe Judge baseball stats page.

Baseball Almanac Top Quote

"He was the best first baseman in the league in the 1920s, and I'm not forgetting that Lou Gehrig was with the Yankees at the time. Judge could outrun and outfield Gehrig. He was superior on the 3-6-3 double play. He could steal a base when needed and he could hit in the clutch. The only reason he's not in the Hall of Fame is that he didn't hit the long ball, but I doubt if ever a home run hitter was more valuable to a club." - Ossie Bluege
