Baseball Almanac Top Quote

"The affable Roman (Mejias) admits his English has improved to the point where he no longer goes hungry, as he often did in his early years in the Pirate farm system because he couldn't order. 'Finally somebody teach me to say ham and eggs and fried chicken, and I eat for a long time.'" - Clark Nealon Quoting Roman Mejias in The Sporting News (April 19, 1962)
