Rod Beck , 199 saves, MLB.com ).

Did you know that when Robb Nen saved his 300th career game on August 6, 2002 , he became only the third pitcher in National League (NL) history with 300 saves, joining Bruce Sutter (300 saves) and Lee Smith (347 saves in the NL / 131 saves in the American League)?

In 1961 , Stu Miller saved a National League leading 17 games, the first San Francisco Giant to win a saves championship . Forty years later (in 2001 ), Robb Nen saved a National League leading 45 games, their second saves champion (in San Francisco , excludes time in New York ).
