Mike Piazza finished his rookie season (1993) with 35 home runs 112 RBI, his first of six seasons with 30-or-more homers and 100-or-more RBI - the most by any catcher in baseball history. Piazza was a unanimous selection for Rookie of the Year , the first Los Angeles Dodgers and National League catcher to win unanimously. Do you know what catcher was the first ever unanimous selection? [ Answer ] A few more numbers of interest:

10 : Mike Piazza had the highest batting average by a catcher in the National League ten different times, earning him a record ten Silver Slugger Awards , the most by any catcher from either league.
