Joe Rogalski was sent back down to the minors where he pitched for the Toledo Mud Hens in 1939, and the Buffalo Bisons (pictured above) in 1940. He retired from pitching with a 59-39 records in the minors then served four years with the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II. He died when he was only 39 years old, from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease) in 1951.
