Greg Terlecky was born on Thursday, March 20, 1952, in Culver City, California. Terlecky was 23 years old when he broke into the big leagues on June 12, 1975, with the St. Louis Cardinals. "After making his big league debut with the Cardinals in '75, Greg was swapped to the White Sox along with Buddy Bradford in exchange for Lee Richard during baseball's winter meetings. He had an 0-1 record for the Redbirds in '75, pitching in 20 games and recording a 4.50 ERA. He started the season with the AA Tulsa Oilers, going 3-4 with a 5.14 ERA in 14 appearances. He joined the St. Louis system in 1971 with Arkansas and then advanced to Tulsa in 1972, the club for which he pitched until his recall by St. Louis in '75. In his 3 1/2 years with the Oilers, he went 29-38 in 94 contests." - 1975 SSPC Baseball Card (#299)
