The Seattle Pilots were an American League team that existed for one season (1969), before relocating to Milwaukee in 1970, were they exist today as the Milwaukee Brewers . The franchise took part in their inaugural baseball draft in 1969 , and the first player they ever selected was Gorman Thomas, during the first round, the twenty-first pick overall. [ Baseball Draft History ]

Gorman Thomas is a two-time home run champion , leading all American League (AL) sluggers in homers hit in 1979 (45 HRs / Top 25 ), and 1982 (39 HRs / Top 25 ). Stormin' Gorman was not the first Milwaukee Brewers slugger to lead the AL ( Answer ), but through today, he remains the only Brew Crew player to lead the league more than once !
