"If they don't like it when (Dewayne) Wise comes to hit, turn the TV off, turn the radio off or turn around and start walking toward the concession stand. They don't have to watch him hit. If they don't like it, that's not my problem. There's only one guy I have to tell why I play Wise, (General Manager) Kenny Williams. That's it. Every time I read it, all of the sudden they're in love with Brian Anderson . I like Brian . Some people tell me I hate Brian , I have something against Brian . Please, I give (him) at-bats because he needs it and I want to get him in hitting shape the best I can, the quickest I can." - Chicago White Sox Manager (2004-2011) Ozzie Guillen (Earmonn Brennan, Don't Like Dewayne Wise? Then Ozzie Doesn't Like You , 07/14/2009, Source )

Larry DeWayne Wise was a Major League Baseball player for the Toronto Blue Jays (2000, 2002, 2011), Atlanta Braves (2004), Cincinnati Reds (2006-2007), Chicago White Sox (2008-2009, 2012-2013), Florida Marlins (2011), and New York Yankees (2012). Wise was a well-traveled outfielder most often used as a defensive substitute due to his speed and glove.

Did you know that Dewayne Wise played right field in one-hundred nineteen games, across ten different seasons, in five different uniforms, and never once committed an error?

Did you know that Dewayne Wise made dozens of amazing catches, appeared on Sportscenter Top 10 plays multiple times, but has one catch that he will always be associated with - a ninth inning, deep hit ball, where Wise timed his leap perfectly, reached up above the fence, robbed Gabe Kapler of a home run, and preserved what became a perfect game , thrown by Mark Buehrle , on July 23, 2009 ?
