In Baseball Digest (November 1995, Mike Blake, Stars from 1970s Recall Special Baseball Moments , Page 61) Wynn shared the following comment: "The 1974 season was my proudest all the way down the line. Although in 1975, I did something I'm equally proud of... I hit the 100th home run in All-Star history ( Babe Ruth hit the first). Milestones like that are always remembered, so I'll be remembered in that way in the same breath as Babe Ruth ."
