Other teams not listed above who have won twenty or more consecutive games during a season include the 1884 St. Louis Maroons (won 20, no ties), the 1884 Providence Grays (won 20, no ties) & the 1935 Chicago Cubs (won 21, no ties).

An incredible streak ended at a National League record two-hundred eight games on May 24, 2001, when the Cincinnati Reds were finally shutout by an opponent (the Chicago Cubs) for the first time since 1999.

Did you know that the record for most games won in two consecutive days is five - yes, five games won over the course of two days? On September 7, 1896 the Baltimore Orioles won all three games of a triple-header then followed those victories with both ends of a double header on September 8, 1896.
